Vote By Mail
Only specific reasons entitle a registered voter to vote early by mail (no longer called absentee voting). You may request a Mail Ballot if you:
Will be away from your county of Election Day and during the hours that early voting is conducted
Are sick or disabled
Are 65 years of age or older on Election Day
Are confined in jail
To vote by mail request an application for Mail Ballot call 214-819-6359 or you may print the application directly from https://webservices.sos.state.tx.us/forms/5-15f.pdf. The last day for the early voting clerk to receive applications for a Mail Ballot is April 23rd. Once you receive the Ballot, complete and return to the Early Voting Clerk. The deadline to receive mailed ballots is 5 PM May 6th all ballots must be postmarked May 4th.
